Hip Hop dance styles are primarily performed to hip hop musics and a broad category that includes a variety of urban styles which are breaking, locking and popping.
It was created in the 1970s and was made popular by dance crews in the United States.
Movies like Step Up gave the hip hop culture a mainstream exposure to the society. This dance has a particularly strong influence in France, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
